Imran, Sheikh Rashid announce rally in Rawalpindi on August 13

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan and Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Friday announced to hold a rally at the historic Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi on Sunday August 13.

In a video posted by AML chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on the micro-blogging platform Twitter, the PTI chief said that he will provide the vision and the way forward for the nation in the political gathering.

“The nation wants to give a message to Nawaz Sharif that they are with the six members of the JIT, and the ray of hope given that even the powerful can be held accountable,” he said.

“We have to proof that we are with them and the judiciary,” he said.

The PTI chief said that we will unveil the vision for ‘Naya Pakistan’ at August 13 to make the nation a prosperous one as envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed also invited people to the rally on August 13, the invitation of which he said has been accepted by Imran Khan.

“This along with 70th Independence Day celebration will also be a victory against the looters and plunderers,” he said.

He said that his party does not have the resources required to hold political gatherings on a large scale, but hoped that the people will come in large numbers and make it a success.
