Imran to arrive in Larkana on November 21 at all cost: Qureshi

TOP NEWS

Talking to media after the meeting of PTI core committee, Shah Mehmood Qureshi denounced the attack on PTI rally in Jhelum and advised his party’s workers to be patient. He said that we are to continue our political journey, remaining within the framework of law.

He also expressed his hopes that after the registration of the FIR authorities will take indiscriminate action and will expose the culprits behind the incident.

The PTI leader said that there are reports that the local administration of Larkana is creating hurdles for PTI rally there. He requested the Larkana administration not to use foul tactics, adding that the administration will contradict the basic ideology of the federation of state, if it takes such a step.

“Holding a peaceful rally and approaching the masses is our legal and constitutional right”, he added.

He said we are not utilizing any government means, land or place and a private venue was decided for the rally after holding prolonged consultation.

Qureshi said that local authorities had created hurdles for his Ghotki rally and requested the DCO Larkana not to obstruct the way of PTI on November 21.

He also said that it does not suit Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), which always talks in favor of democracy, to prevent another political party from holding a rally.

The PTI leader said we will not oppose if PPP holds a rally in Punjab. He also expressed his hopes that the PPP leadership will ask the local administration to allow PTI to hold public meeting on November 21, while it will also provide adequate security in this regard.

In the end, Shah Memhood Qureshi said, “My message is clear that the PTI chairman, Imran Khan is arriving there in Larkana on November 21 at all cost and the workers and supporters should finalize the arrangements pertaining to the rally”.
