Imran asks CJ Nasir-ul-Mulk to take notice of PTI workers’ arrests

Addressing the participants at the PTI sit-in on Friday, he said, “I was at the front for the restoration of Iftikhar Chaudhry, yet I was extremely disappointed over the judiciary’s inaction on irregularities in the elections”.

The PTI chairman alleged that the former CJ was involved in the match-fixing of the May 11 elections. He said, “We rested our case on all the forums during the past 16 months and ended up here in Islamabad, after we were not listened by anyone”.

Khan added, “We came out on roads demanding for justice and it is our democratic right”.

He slammed the government for a crackdown on PTI workers and inquired the judiciary to inform under which law PTI workers are being arrested.

He said that government also forced disappeared DJ Butt, who was not even the worker of PTI, rather the party was paying him in return of his services.

Imran Khan said that the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has declared the placement of the containers in Islamabad illegal, but they are still lying on roads, due to which the residents and traders are being affected severely.

He requested the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk to take suo motu notice of the arrests of innocent PTI workers and supporters by the police.

The PTI chief said the government is trying to make him frightened by spreading the rumors of terrorists present at the sit-in, adding, “I am not afraid even if a hundred suicide bombers are sent here”.

Addressing to the students all over the country, Imran Khan said, “You are supposed to participate in this sit-in for it will secure your own future”.

Taking exception to the owner of Geo/Jang group, the PTI chairman said, “Mir Shakil is in Serena Hotel and it seems as if the Chinese President is staying over there. He has been given protocol similar to that of the prime minister”.

Moreover, he declared Musharraf’s dictatorship to be better than the current democratic government led by the PM Nawaz Sharif.
