Imran asks Gov’t to stop excessive printing of currency notes

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan has demanded the Government to stop any further printing of currency notes and to increase the circle of tax-net in order to end inflation in the state. He urged for an action against corruption, power pilferage and mafias in the country – ARY News reports.

According to details, PTI's tsunami against inflation in the state eventually hit Lahore on Sunday. Addressing the protest rally, the PTI Chairman said that the storm of inflation is not going to halt and the people were awarded with a new year gift in the form of hike in petrol, electricity and gas tariffs. He also suggested proposals for the Government to end increasing inflation.

Speaking about the power theft in the country, Imran Khan said, "if the Government cannot prevent it then we are ready to demonstrate how to abandon electricity pilferage".

He alleged that the Government is itself involved with the mafias existing in the state, and the prices of day to day commodities are heightened after settlement. He urged the government to take an action against these mafia and corrupt elements.

The PTI Chairman further added that PTI will soon table a bill in the National Assembly to transform the Governor Houses into public parks and hotels all over the country.

He announced that the PTI led tsunami will hit Umer Kot on January 6, while it will be there in Rawalpindi on January 24.
