LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday abruptly cancelled his city tour of Lahore over security concerns, ARY News reported.

The PTI chairman arrived in Lahore and visited the shrine of renowned Sufi saint Data Ganj Baksh where he paid his respects. He was also given a spectacular welcome outside the shrine by party activists.

Imran Khan was scheduled to tour several parts of Lahore and hold four corner meetings in different parts of the city including Bhati Gate, Mochi Gate, Shah Alam Gate and conclude at Sheranwala Gate.

All arrangements were made but the cavalcade carrying the PTI chairman abruptly changed route after visiting the shrine of Data Ganj Baksh.

Well-informed sources said that the city tour was cancelled over security threats after the multiple explosions in Quetta. It was also known that Imran Khan was supposed to visited the Minar-e-Pakistan where a political gathering is being organised on April 29.
