“I have asked to take strict action against those who shut down university in Mansehra, for two days, and schools in Bannu when the PM went there,” he said while inaugurating Youth Games 2016 in Peshawar.

He had also tweeted that, “Closing educational institutions when VIPs visit an area is a retrogressive practice. I have asked KP govt to immediately put a stop to it.”

Encouraging sports activities, he said: “sports give you health fitness. It teach you competition and life is a name of competition. Sports teach you that every champion has to face defeat and a champion learns from defeat. He brainstorms himself to figure out what went wrong. A successful sportsman is one who points out his mistakes to redress it.”

“Champion fights till the last ball and it has been 20 years since I am in politics. I have never given up courage neither I am going to give up in future too,” he said.

He also told how he set benchmark goals and achieved them gradually from becoming a player to becoming world number one all-rounder and then winning world cup.

Khan also told his audience that he dreamt of university and hospital and made his dream come true.

“When I wished to enter into politics, people said there was no place for a third party,” he said smilingly.
