PTI’s Imran Ismail loses police squad in dramatic style

The police had provided squad to Ismail for security to his election campaign and movements for the purpose of canvassing.

According to ARY News correspondent Kamil Arif, the police asked the PTI leader to return the squad once the polling day ended, but the latter refused.

Ismail deployed his security guards outside his residence and expressed sheer reluctance to let the police squad go.

Sources said police officials urged PTI leader to release police squad vehicles so they could be refueled.

Once the vehicles left for refuelling, they never came back.

In NA-246 by-polls, PTI’s Imran Ismail secured second position with 24,875 votes, while MQM candidate Kanwar Naveed Jamil bagged first position with huge margin, garnering over 94,000 votes. Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Rashid Nasim came on third spot with over 9,000 votes
