PM to announce ‘health package’ for Tharparkar citizens: Qureshi

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will announce health package for the people belonging to Tharparkar, ARY News reported.

The health cards will be distributed among one lakh twenty thousand families in the famine-hit region, the foreign minister added.

While talking to journalists before departing to Sindh visit along with PM Khan, Qureshi announced that a historical public gathering was being organised in Chachro, a taluka in the Tharparkar district of Sindh, today.

He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had dreamt of bringing prosperity and development to the less privileged areas of Sindh province. The PTI-led government was beginning its efforts from Tharparkar to pursue its dream.

“The time has arrived to change values of lives of obtained people of Tharparkar. The journey of Sindh’s prosperity and development has begun under the leadership of PM Imran Khan.”

Shah Mehmood Qureshi was of the view that ‘the caravan will reach to its destination at any cost.”

Prime Minister Imran Khan will pay a day-long visit to Tharparkar here on Friday.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other senior leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will be accompanied by the premier during the visit.

The arrangements for the public gathering have been finalised in Chachro where PM Khan is likely to announce a special package for the drought-hit region of Tharparkar.

Sources further said former Sindh chief minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim will call on the prime minister and likely to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on the occasion.
