ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Sunday invited former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to join his party.

“We will fully support Nisar, even if he chooses to contest the upcoming general elections as an independent candidate. However, it would be better if he joins PTI,” he said while talking to media.

He said many a times one had to have a bigger heart in politics.

Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday said that he could serve under the leadership of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shehbaz Sharif but he could not work under Maryam Nawaz.

He cleared his stance that he wasn’t a “political orphan” to cave in to call a junior as “sir” or “madam”. However, he dispelled a chance of making a forward bloc in the party.

The PTI chief said there was no comparison between Nisar and Maryam — one a veteran politician and the other an amateur in the field.

On possibility of an alliance with the Pakistan Peoples Party chairman, he said, “He is just a child, how can I make an alliance with Bilawal? And by the way, making alliance with Bilawal means associating with Asif Zardari.”

He said he could absolve Zardari and ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif only after they were ready to repent and bring bank all the looted money from abroad.
