Imran Khan meets team 92 after taking oath as PM
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday met the members of his World Cup 1992 winning team at PM Office in Islamabad, ARY News reported.
The delegation comprising team members of 1992 World Cup and the Indian guest Navjot Singh Sidhu congratulated the newly elected PM on culmination of his 22 years struggle and prayed for the the development of the country under his government.
The prime minister said that his government will focus on promoting constructive abilities in young generation and experience of former players will be utilized for the purpose.
The Indian guest, former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu presented Imran Khan a shawl he brought as a gift.
Earlier, Imran Khan on oath as country’s 2nd prime minister at a ceremony at the President House.
President Mamnoon Hussain administered the oath to Mr Khan a day after he was elected as 22nd prime minister of the country by the National Assembly to form the government at the Centre.
Clad in black sherwani, the prime minister arrived at the Presidency. The ceremony began with recitation from the Holy Quran which was followed by the president taking oath from the PM.
