ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was committed to good governance in Pakistan, ARY News reported.
“The government is determined to change governance in Pakistan focusing on austerity, anti-corruption and merit,” he said in a tweet.
He directed Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and the Punjab cabinet to give priority to achieving 100-day program in the province.
The prime minister said that he had also held a meeting with ex-inspector general Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police Nasir Durrani who had initiated the police reforms agenda in KP and was now heading police reforms task force in Punjab.
Imran Khan said he gave first priority to depoliticising the Punjab police force.

Earlier in a meeting, the premier highlighted the role of bureaucracy in steering the country out of various challenges that the country faced today.
He observed that difficult circumstances required tough decisions; the reform agenda of the present government required wholehearted commitment of the bureaucracy coupled with performance to translate the vision into reality.
“Your performance would be the only consideration for the present government. We will provide you opportunity and will not interfere in the functional domain, as we demonstrated in KP, which produced unprecedented outcomes,” Imran assured.
