Imran labels military operation in NWA as suicide attempt

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan has labeled the possible military action in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) as a suicide attempt, while he added that millions of people will also be displaced as a result of this – ARY News reports.

According to details, Imran Khan said that there are several factions of extremists in North Waziristan, which are agreed upon talks, but a military offensive will serve as a reason to unite them all together.

He said that the groups which detached from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and are ready for talks, will again opt for fight against Pakistan.

The PTI Chairman mentioned that military operation will prove to be nothing but a suicide attempt, while it can also cause displacement of 7 million people.

He demanded the political leadership to reject US pressure on the issue and urged the Government to pursue peace talks, in the light of the decisions made at the all parties’ conference (APC).
