Imran urges operation against Taliban groups not willing for talks

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief, Imran Khan has urged the Government to take action against Taliban groups not in favor of talks; however he suggested evacuating common people prior to an operation like the way it was done in Swat. On the other hand, Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that so far the decision of a military operation has not been made – ARY News reports.

According to details, PTI Chairman, Imran Khan said that those groups of Taliban which believe in talking through guns and bullets, should be treated with an operation by the Government.

He urged Taliban to immediately announce a ceasefire, if they are willing to take forth the dialogue process with the Government of Pakistan.

Khan further suggested the Government to monitor the dialogue process itself and said that if he were in place of Nawaz Sharif, then he would himself supervise negotiations.

Meanwhile, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan told that the decision of lodging a military operation against Taliban is not yet made. He added that all the options are under consideration in this regard.

Speaking about National Security Policy (NSP), Nisar stated that a meeting of the Federal Cabinet is going to be held on Tuesday, during which a debate will take place on the security policy of the state.

He expressed his hopes that the policy draft will be accepted on Tuesday, which will in turn resolve many issues of the country.
