JARANWALA: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Friday announced to stand by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahir-ul-Qadri until justice was served to the Model Town victims, ARY News reported.

“I send forward Qadri this message that we will take to street with them. We will take Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif to Adyala Jail. We will fight against them until they are put behind bars,” he said while addressing a crowd in Jaranwala.

He said Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, who is named in Model Town tragedy case, was fit for a villain’s role in a Punjabi movie. 14 lives were taken in Model Town incident, he added.

Imran also came down hard on US President Donald Trump for recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, which has attracted wrath from around the world.

“I am aggrieved over the atrocities inflicted upon Palestinians by Israel. 9 percent Israelis have captured 80 percent land of Palestine,” he said.

He said the biggest opponent of Israel was Founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Quaid said it was not barbarism on Muslims but humans, he added.

The PTI chief also said we should be thankful to God that the Army protects us.

Trump’s decision had not been rejected by Muslims only but the world as well, he said.

“It has been established that if a mighty country seizes a land the UN does not come for its help. No human rights organization has taken action in Palestine,” he said.

“Trump’s plan to shift US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem is contrary to all the UN resolutions and is an attempt to deliberately add to the chaos in the Middle East. This new Trump move will also undermine the international consensus on how to move forward in resolving the Palestinian conflict,” he added.
