Imran wishes Pakistan win in high-voltage tie at Eden Gardens

KOLKATA: Cricketer-cum-politician Imran Khan on Saturday wished that the result of today’s high-voltage tie between Pakistan and India would be the same as when he last played here, ARY News reported.

Speaking to crowd at Eden Gardens before the start of the match, Khan referred to the final of Nehru Cup which was won by Pakistan and wished the same for today’s match.

He also thanked the Kolkata people for presenting him with a very warm welcome.

Khan was followed by Sachin Tendulkar who said that Pakistan-India matches have always been interesting and hoped that today’s tie will also be a good show of game.

Meanwhile, Bollywood’s legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan prayed for peace between the two neighboring countries.
