India issues visas to Lahore Lions players for CL T20

NEW DELHI: Indian authorities have issued visas to the players of Pakistani cricket club Lahore Lions for participating in the lucrative Champions League Twenty20 in India, ARY News reports.

Lahore Lions will leave for India on Tuesday (tomorrow).

Mohammad Hafeez led local team includes other Pakistani team members Nasir Jamshed, Wahab Riaz, Ahmad Shehzad and Umar Akmal.

They will square off against Mumbai Indians in their first match of the qualifying round on 13th September and will play New Zealand based Northern Districts on 14th September. Lahore Lions will play Sri Lankan club Southern Express T20 on 16th September.

Lahore Lions qualified for the CL T20 after beating Faisalabad Wolves in the final of FaysalBank T20 2013-2014.
