An Indian news agency, citing an official from the ministry, said that the measure is being taken to prevent infiltration of terrorists into the country following the attack on Pathankot air base.
The news agency reported that five to six points at the border area are covered by the technology.
Indian authorities claim that the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists used the point in Bamiyal which was not covered by the laser wall technology whereas the camera along the border area was also not working to record infiltration of the militants.
The news agency stated that the posts of India’s Border Security Force (BSF) are located at Bamiyal with officials monitoring the area.
However, it is being claimed that the terrorists may have got through the point without catching the eye of the BSF officials.
