KARACHI: India is under the illusion that it will attack Pakistan and escape unhurt. We are not Bhutan. We will come back with a befitting reply, if attacked, said former president general (retd) Pervez Musharraf on Sunday.

“The Indian military and government are deceiving their people about the surgical attack, while no such attack took place on the face of the earth from India,” he said while talking to the host, of ARY News program Sawal Ye Hai, Maria Memon.

He, however, said both the countries had the capability to carry out surgical strikes.

Musharraf said India was politically and diplomatically campaigning against Pakistan at international level. He expressed happiness over Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s raising Kashmir issue at the United Nations.

“India is wreaking havoc on a small incident of Uri base attack,” he said.

On Sept 18, 2016, four heavily armed terrorists attacked an Indian military base in Uri area of held Kashmir and killed 18 Indian soldiers. No militant group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

To a query, he said martyrdom of Kashmiri freedom fighter leader Burhan Wani sprung the spree of protests in Kashmir.

He said India was involved in conspiring against Pakistan at international level. Indian lobby was working in US at a fast pace, we need to compete them. They make US Congress men speak in their favor.

“All political parties are on the same page against India. Our artists and actors should also get united against Indian aggression,” he suggested.
