India willing to share Mumbai attack evidence with Pakistan: FO

The FO spokesman added that Indian authorities have conveyed their message through a letter written by Indian foreign secretary.

Zakaria in June this year informed public that a letter had been written to India asking more evidences to solve the Mumbai attack case at fast pace.

However, it took India months to reply the letter and express willingness in this case, for which India has been accusing was conducted by militants from Pakistan.

The 2008 Mumbai attack was a series of attacks carried out through coordinated shooting and bombing attacks lasting four days across Mumbai.

The foreign office spokesperson said the material evidence and the cross examination of prosecution witnesses are needed for clear investigation.

He said our legal experts are currently examining the legal aspects and modalities of the proposal contained in the Indian foreign secretary’s letter.
