Indian-funded terror group formed to target Pakistani politicians: sources

According to security sources, Research Analysis Wing (RAW) of India and Afghan intelligence agency have planned to weaken Pakistan’s ongoing operation against militants and insurgents.

For that purpose, security sources said, the RAW has formed a group “Lashkar-e-Farooqui” with Mati-ur-Rehman and Abdur Rehman as its head. The terror group comprises several hardened criminals  including Asif Chotu.

The group is tasked with targeting key politicians in Punjab. The sources said al-Qaeda and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi have also planned a terror activity to avenge killing of Malik Ishaq.

Both the groups are being funded by RAW and other Indian agencies.

It is learnt that two Indian agents had been arrested from Punjab and two Afghan officials from Islamabad who were invovlved in plotting an attack on important political figures in the country.
