Indian High Commission relaxes visa regime for Pakistanis for T20 matches

Indian HC in Islamabad issued the visa guidelines for Pakistanis wanting to travel to the neighbouring countries for watching the World Twenty20 games.

“Specifically for this event, in addition to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Attari, Kolkata (by air) has been made as a valid entry/exit point for Pakistani nationals”, the high commission stated.

According to Indian High Commission, applicants should apply only in the visitor visa category.

“All applicants must include a valid ticket and confirmed hotel bookings in addition to usual documents including notorized translation of CNIC, utility bills (as proof of address), copy of polio vaccination certificate (not older than 1 year),” Indian HC stated.

“Applications must be submitted at least 10 days in advance of the date of the match”, the Indian HC stated.

The high commission has instructed the visa seekers to submit their applications at least 10 days in advance of the match date.

The Indian HC added that all applicants must share their travel plan/itinerary along with their applications.

“Applications can also be submitted in person at the special counter at the High Commission of India, Islamabad. This counter has been specifically set up to facilitate Pakistani cricket fans. It will function from Counter No.3 of the High Commission of India in Islamabad between 9 AM and 4.30 PM (on all working days)”, the commission stated.
