KOTLI: Indian troops violated the ceasefire and opened unprovoked fire at Kotera sub-sector near Kotli at the Line of Control in Kashmir, ARY News reported on Monday.
According to military spokesman, Indian military opened unprovoked fire at Kotera sub-sector near Kotli. Pakistani troops retaliated with counter fire and silenced the Indian guns.
It is second violation of the ceasefire on the LoC in a week. Indian troops earlier opened unprovoked fire with heavy guns at Poonchh Sector on Friday and Pakistani soldiers replied them with counter fire and had silenced the Indian guns.
The Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) from two sides in a meeting few months back had vowed to protect ceasefire at the control line.
