Themed around woman empowerment this year, a performance of a curated mini concert featuring Pakistani singer-songwriter Sara Haider, award-winning Indian singer Shalmali Kholgade, the Slumdog Millionair singer Suzanne D’Mello and other notable local performers in an unforgettable night of glamour, song and dance.
The concert will take place on the same night as the awards at the festival where female performers will come together to spread the powerful message of women empowerment and peace between the two nations.
Shalmali Kholgade commented on this saying, “It is an honour to represent Indian film music in a foreign country. I am truly excited about my performance at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.
Reports citing Sara Haider as saying: “I will be doing a solo performance of my Bollywood hits The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne has always been a special stage to display talent overseas.”
