Inflation continues to rise
KARACHI: The inflation for the first ten months (July-April) of the current fiscal year has been recorded at 8.69 percent, ARY News reported.
According to statistics revealed by Pakistan Bureau Statistics (PBS), the inflation for the fiscal year 2013-14 is likely to remain at around 9 per cent.
Inflation has been fluctuating, as the Consumer price indicator (CPI) has surged to 9.2 percent in April 2014, which was recorded at 8.5 per cent in the month of March.
However the government has restricted CPI at 7.9 percent in January and February but from the last couple of months it has been increasing.
