ISLAMABAD: The Sensitive Price Index (SPI) for the combined group has been decreased by 0.10 per cent to 9.20 per cent for the week ended on January 9, ARY News reported.
The weekly Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) with base 2007-2008=100 covering 17 urban centers and 53 essential items for all income groups and combined has been computed by Pakistan Bureau Statics (PBS).
The SPI for the week ended on January 9 for the lowest income group up to Rs 8,000 registered decrease of 0.08 per cent as compared to the previous week.
The SPI for the week which ended on in the above mentioned group was recorded at 200.09 points against 200.26 points registered in the previous week.
According to PBS, as compared to the last week, the SPI for the income groups from Rs 8001- 12,000, 12,001-18,000, 18001-35,000 and above Rs.35000 decreased by 0.10 per cent, 0.10 per cent, 0.10 and 0.09 per cent respectively.
During the week under review average prices of 13 items registered increase, while that of 11 items decrease with the remaining 29 items’ prices unchanged.
