No clue of Al-Qaeda militants migrating to Syria from here: FO

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office (FO) of Pakistan has said that the United States (US) has not provided any such information that the extremist people affiliated with Al-Qaeda are migrating to Syria from Pakistani territories – ARY News reports.

During a weekly press briefing, FO Spokesperson, Tasneem Aslam told that Syrian authorities investigated Pakistani staff there to insure that someone is not involved in illegal import of their oil and cleared all the Pakistanis, who will be reaching here in next 1 or 2 days.

She warned that now the illegal import of Syrian oil has been declared an offence and urged Pakistani nationals to be careful and to work with companies having good reputation.

Commenting on the killing of Iranian border guards, Tasneem said that according to our investigations, no traces of Iranian guards were found in Pakistan, nor have they been killed here.

She stated that Pak-Iran Border Coordination Committee held a meeting in February and visited the place from where the border guards were said to be abducted.

Speaking about Kashmir Issue, the FO Spokesperson told that it is not an internal matter of India, whereas Pakistan has suggested resolving the issue by involving a third party.

Moreover, she told that the Pakistanis embarked on 'Morning Glory' will be reaching here in a day or two.
