Karachi Kings replaces Abrar Ahmed with Usman Shenwari

SHARJAH: The most popular team of Pakistan Super League, Karachi Kings have replaced their young leg spinner Abrar Ahmed with left-arm quick Usman Khan Shenwari, the team announced on Wednesday.

Abrar Ahmed was dropped as he was battling with a stress fracture and the left arm quick Shenwari will take his place in the Emerging Player’s Category.

The young leg spinner had everyone in awe with his confidence as he played and bowled a total of eight overs in two matches from the side against Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators respectively.

Shenwari has joined the team in Sharjah ahead of team’s clash with Lahore Qalandars on Thursday. The medium-fast bowler had played tw0 Twenty20 Internationals from the national side in 2013.

Usman Khan has played from FATA Cheetas, Khan Research Labs and Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited in his domestic career.
