Intelligence agencies hint at a major terrorist threat countrywide

ISLAMABAD: Intelligence agencies (IAs) while informing about the possibility on terrorist attack a large scale, have directed all the provinces to beef-up security of important personalities and public offices – ARY News reports.

IAs in their report mentioned that a major terrorist threat exists in the country and directed all the provinces to tighten security of key figures and important public offices.

Sources told that the intelligence agencies suggested authorities to deploy security men in plain clothes on the routes to important installs and to plant barriers on these ways.

It was further stated that the frontier areas and religious seminaries in South Punjab have also been monitored critically by the security agencies.

The report holds a vital significance in realm of suspended negotiations with militants and today's surgical strikes in different areas of North Waziristan tribal region.
