Interim cabinet takes oath in KP

PESHAWAR: A ten-member cabinet of the caretaker government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government was sworn in, ARY News reported.

KP Governor Iqbal Zafar Jagra administered the oath to the interim cabinet in a ceremony held at the Governor House. However, there was no member in the cabinet from the tribal areas.

The cabinet comprises Akbar Jan Marwat, Mohammad Rashid Khan, Dr Saira Safdar, Muqadas Ullah, Abdul Rauf Khan, Mohammad Sanaullah Khan, Zafar Iqbal Banghash, Anwarul Haq, Fazl Elahi and Justice (retd) Asadullah Khan Chamkhani.

On June 6, former Justice Dost Muhammad Khan took oath as the caretaker chief minister of KP, and said the cabinet will be small and the people will be selected on merit.

The caretaker CM had vowed to give maximum relief to the public during theit short stint, and ensured his best to ensure free and fair general elections, and fullfil the responsibility by the election commission and the constitution.
