Interior Minister calls masses to play role in anti-terror fight
The Interior Minister was talking with reporters in Islamabad on Wednesday, ARY News reports.
Nisar in his response to international criticism about executions in Pakistan, said “Whatever will be in the best interest of the country, we will do.”
The Interior Minister also called the masses to play their role in the fight against terrorism in Pakistan adding that the toll-free counter-terrorism hotline 1717 is not a joke.
He added that the according to the National Action Plan (NAP), intelligence based operations are taking place in the country.
The Interior Minister earlier chaired a high level meeting at the Interior Ministry which reviewed the NAP. Nisar directed police and security agency officials to adopt a proactive approach on counter-terrorism as the country was in a state of war.
