A court had handed death sentence to MQM worker Saulat Mirza in 1999 for triple murder of the KESC managing director Shahid Hamid, his gunman and driver.
Saulat Mirza in a video, emerged a few hours before his scheduled execution, made sensational disclosures blaming that the MQM leadership was involved in heinous crimes.
His execution was deferred for 72 hours to inquire into his allegations. A joint investigation team was formed which demanded more time for investigations, as a result the execution of Saulat Mirza postponed for one month.
The death row prisoner had levelled serious allegations against MQM leader Altaf Hussain, Governor of Sindh Ishratul Ebad and other senior leaders of the party.
