It was stated in the appeal that Nawaz Sharif lied regarding the role of Pakistan Army as mediator in the ongoing political turmoil in the country and the military was tried to be defamed.
It was further claimed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif does not fill the conditions set in the Article 62 and 63 of the constitution for a public representative.
The petition was earlier rejected by a single bench of the Lahore High Court.
The petitioner has appealed to the court to dismiss Sharif as premier as the constitution aspects have been ignored in the single bench decision over the matter.
