Investigation agencies expose operatives of Saleem Belgium group
KARACHI: Investigation agencies have exposed operatives of Saleem alias Belgium, running a group of target killers, in the country, ARY News reported.
Investigation officials said that the operatives were involved in conspiracy of bomb blast during a protest of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan and assassination bid of MQM-P’s leader Syed Aminul Haque.
While uncovering more details about the hit-men group, investigators said that they have found clues of an involvement of anti-state national parties for providing bombs to the terrorists of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM-L).
It was revealed that one remote-controlled bomb was used in Gulistan-e-Jauhar blast in Karachi while second explosion was planned outside Karachi Press Club (KPC) during a protest of MQM-P. However, the terrorism bid was foiled by the security personnel after timely action.
Officials said that further investigation is underway to ascertain facilitators of the operatives. They said that the terrorists used code word ‘Baday Mamoo [Elder Uncle] ” for Rangers.
While making more revelations, an operative, reportedly named as Raza Soldier, admitted for receiving a task of assassinating MQM-P leader Syed Aminul Haque on the day he was arrested by the security agencies.
According to reports, the Saleem alias Belgium group was facilitated by nationalist parties in Karachi, whereas, he usually made contacts in Pakistan through British numbers.
Operatives of the group, who were assigned a task, came into connection through an internet device while every persons had been advised to vary usage of weapons in different crimes, the report said.
Investigators said the security agencies are tracing out more culprits including Azam, Sajjad Chaudhry, Asad alias Umar, Junaid alias Owais and Asif Pasha who are still at large. They said that raids were being conducted across Sindh including Karachi to arrest Asif Pasha.
