ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) has decided to challenge Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) decision of reinstating Zaka Ashraf as Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), ARY News reported.
In his petition IPC has adopted the stance that IHC annouced the verdict without listening to the standpoint of PCB’s notification, sources revealed.
It further stated that benificial steps taken be PCB can not be nullified.
On May 17, IHC restored Zaka Ashraf as Chairman PCB as well as canceled the termination of dozens of employees that were recently sacked by the body.
Justice Noorul Haq N Qureshi, the single-member bench at IHC, heard the petition against the move, challenging the termination of a number of employees in the board, including that of former chief selector Mohammad Ilyas.
