ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) has withdrawn its petition, filed against the removal of Najam Sethi from the post of Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), ARY News reported.
The IPC on Tuesday withdrawn the intra court appeal filed against Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) decision against the dismissal of Najam Sethi due non-availability of bench.
Former president of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Asma Jehangir has received the certificate stating the non-availability of bench, sources said.
On May 17, IHC restored Zaka Ashraf as Chairman PCB as well as canceled the termination of dozens of employees that were recently sacked by the body.
The very next day, IPC challenged I IHC’s decision of reinstating Zaka Ashraf as Chairman PCB.
