According to reports quoting officials no losses of life happened in the incident.
Security stepped up after the mortar shells from Iran landed near Mashkail, sources said.
More troops were deployed in the area to boost security of the border.
The incidents of border violation have been on rise on Pakistan’s border with Iran. A week earlier Iranian border force attacked and killed a Pakistani soldier and injured another three in Mand area of Balochistan.
The border incidents prompted the two countries to hold a joint meeting of top officials in Tehran, which agreed to boost intelligence cooperation.
