Iran wishes to become partner in CPEC, says Rouhani

Iranian leader expressed the wish in a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the sidelines of 71st General Assembly session of the United Nations.

The two leaders expressed their satisfaction over the progress in the construction of Pak-Iran gas pipeline and the bilateral ties between the two neighboring countries.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif informed Rouhani about the human rights violations by Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir.

Sharif said that bilateral trade volume between the two countries will be doubled after economic sanctions lifted from Iran.

He added that the sovereignty of Pakistan and Iran are linked with each other and Pakistan considers Iran’s development as its own.
