RAWALPINDI: Security forces on Wednesday foiled the bid of terrorists belonging to a banned outfit to enter Pakistan from Afghanistan with abducted Iranian soldiers, ARY News reported.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorists had kidnapped four Iranian soldiers and aimed to bring them inside Pakistan, but their plan was foiled by Pakistani forces.

The operation took place in Chaghai’s area of Amori, about four kilometres off Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

ISPR informed that the terrorists had kept the abducted Iranian soldiers in a temporary hutment in the area, which was raided by the security forces on a tip-off from intelligence.

The ISPR further informed that all four Iranian soldiers had been safely recovered from the custody of terrorists, and they have been handed over back to the Iranian officials.
