Irfan Siddiqui to decide about meeting of Taliban committee with PM, Army Chief: Rana

LAHORE: Law Minister Punjab, Rana Sanaullah has said that the decision of a meeting of Taliban announced committee with the Prime Minister and Army Chief can only be made by Irfan Siddiqui, who is the coordinator of Government's team for talks – ARY News reports.

Talking to media outside the Punjab Assembly here on Friday, Rana Sanaullah referred Taliban's condemnation of recent blasts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) as a positive thing and said that the parties against negotiations are now wishing for the process to be successful.

He further added that if Jamat ud Dawa'a (JuD) Chief, Hafiz Saeed can take the responsibility of eradicating terrorism then he must come forth.

Speaking about banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) supremo, Malik Ishaq, the Law Minister told that he is behind the bars and there are cases pending against him, whereas the US authorities have not forwarded any reference against him.

While declaring Rehman Malik as an authentic liar, Rana referred his statement claiming the presence of terrorists in South Punjab, to be based upon malafide intentions.
