Ishaq Dar orders cut in potato prices
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar has ordered concerned officials to reduce potato prices within three days, ARY News reports on Tuesday.
According to sources, he has ordered to bring the prices of the vegetable back to Rs. 23 per kilo.
"People making profits through the hike in prices will fail". Dar stated."The current prices are artificial", he added.
Ishaq Dar said that the demand of potatoes in the country is 17 lac tonnes whereas 27 lac tonnes of yield is expected this year.
