Ishaq Dar warns for rapid decline of dollar rates

LAHORE: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has warned for the rapid decline of dollar against rupee and advised depositors of dollars to cash them at earliest, ARY News reported.

While addressing to a ceremony organized by the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) in Lahore on Saturday, Ishaq Dar vowed to bring the exchange rate down to the level of 1998 years.

Finance Minister declared getting GSP Plus status as a big achievement for the country. He urged textile sector to avail full advantage of the opportunity through value addition.

“Federal government is ready to provide all the facilities and assistance including ensuring energy supply and funds required to avail the opportunity in the best way,” said Ishaq Dar. 

The Minster said that government is also focusing to achieve access to US market, following to that of securing preferential market access for Pakistani textile products from EU.
