ISPR demands Munawwar to apologize over his statement on ‘martyrs’

TOP NEWS

RAWALPINDI: Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) has demanded the Ameer Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Syed Munawwar Hassan to apologize the nation and the families of the martyrs and asked Jamat-e-Islami to clear its position as a political party – ARY News reports.

The ISPR Spokesperson, Major General Asim Salim Bajwa during a TV program, strongly condemned the irresponsible and contradictory to facts statement of Munawwar Hassan, in which he had humiliated thousands of martyred troops by declaring the terrorists as the martyrs.

He told that the JI Ameer presented a new argument for the sake of his political satisfaction, though the Pakistani nation is well aware of its enemies.

Maj. Gen. Bajwa said that the martyrs and their families need not Munawwar Hassan’s endorsement.

However, being the head of JI, which was formed by Molana Moududi who rendered great services for Islam, Munawwar Hassan’s statement is extremely distressful, the Spokesperson was quoted as saying.
