RAWALPINDI: Member of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) committee, Israr Abbasi has recommended to suspend the fifth license of Geo TV Network, while he also said that some elements delayed the PEMRA meeting with the purpose of saving Geo from any kind of legal action – ARY News reports.

The statement was made during his address with the Rawalpindi District Bar Association on Saturday. He said that efforts are being made that PEMRA issues a verdict on Geo TV case, as early as possible.

The member of PEMRA committee said that some elements deliberately caused a delay in PEMRA meeting, with a purpose of saving Geo from any legal action. He warned that if concerned officials do not issue a verdict, then the people of Pakistan will themselves decide about the fate of Geo TV.
