Jacobabad: LEAs arrest three suspects for railway track attacks
JACOBABAD: In a joint raid by Police and Intelligence agencies, three key suspects of railway track bombings, were arrested from Dodapur area of Jacobabad, ARY News reported Wednesday.
Declaring the arrests a major breakthrough in crackdown against militants, Jacobabad police officials said that the suspects were involved in blasts on railway tracks. They were identified as Hingo Khan, Karim Dino, and Balach.
Police confirmed that the raid was carried out on an intelligence tip-off about entrance of some militants from Balochistan into Sindh. The law enforcement officials also recovered explosive material and weapons from the possession of the arrested men.
According to police, the suspects were involved in many acts of subversion and they had entered in Sindh with same plans, when taken into custody. The officials said that the suspects were also involved in a blast near district jail in Jacobabad back in 2015.
In another raid, the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) arrested seven miscreants in Chanesar Goth of Karachi, for their suspected involvement in criminal activities.
The law enforcement personnel also recovered weapons from their possession. However, the identification of the suspects could not be ascertained.
