GURGAON: Indian actress Bidisha Bezbaruah committed suicide by hanging herself in her apartment Gurugram, a city in the Indian state Haryana.
Bidisha, who was last seen in a dance sequence in ‘Jagga Jasoos’ was a native of Assam and a well-known theatre and TV personality, who had hosted many stage shows as well.
“Bezbaruah was found hanging from a ceiling fan of her recently acquired rented apartment,” police said.
He said the father of the actress had informed the police that she was not taking his calls.
Mr Saharan added “Her father suspected something foul as she was not picking the phone on Monday evening. He approached the police and gave details of her local address.”

Several reports have claimed that Bidisha had remotely mentioned to her close friends and family about her husband’s alleged extra-marital affair and how their love marriage was going through a patch of turbulence.
Bidisha’s family has filed a complaint against her in-laws and husband, stating that their daughter was in an unhappy marriage.
The last call that Bidisha made before taking the drastic step was to her father, where she mentioned how desperately she wanted a divorce. The police have booked Bezbaruah’s husband under abetment to suicide, following which a proper investigation has begun.
While no suicide note was recovered from her place, all her social media accounts are now being examined as a part of the investigation.
