James Anderson charged with misconduct during India test

TOP NEWS

The allegation relates to an incident involving India’s Ravindra Jadeja during the first test match between the teams that ended in a draw on Sunday.

The England and Wales Cricket Board said on Tuesday that it would contest misconduct accusations against Anderson made by India.

Anderson was accused of shoving the Indian bowler during the spat. A judicial commission will now probe the allegations. If charges are proved, Anderson might face ban for two to four Test matches or four ODIs.

On the other side, Anderson categorically denied the accusations made against him while the ECB has pledged their total support for the player.
