The petition says that shoot at sight permission to the law enforcement agencies under the law clashes with the right of life under the constitution.
Some other clauses of the law also against the constitution, the petition said and pleaded to the apex court to declare the Protection of Pakistan Act as null and void.
Jamshed Dasti MNA had earlier challenged the law in Islamabad High Court. Dasti in his plea called the law violating the fundamental human rights.
The bill passed by the parliament was recently signed into an act of law by the President.
