JI chief reminds govt of its mistake

 ISLAMABAD: Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq said on Tuesday the current situation could have been avoided had the government accepted opposition’s demand for voter verification in four constituencies, ARY News reported.

Talking to media after a meeting with the traders delegation, the JI chief said he had a talk with Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali over current political scenario. He said if political forces did not tolerate each other than a third force might exploit the situation.

It is pertinent to mention here that Imran Khan, the PTI chief, has been demanding recounting of votes and verification of thumb impressions in four NA constituencies of Punjab which are; NA-110 Sialkot from where Minister for Defence and Water and Power Khawaja Mohammad Asif emerged victorious, NA-122 Lahore from where National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq declared winner, NA-125 Lahore from where Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq bagged victory and NA-154 Lodhran, a seat won by Siddiq Khan Baloch.
