Joint Parliament session resumes in Islamabad today

ISLAMABAD: The joint session of the Parliament will resume in Islamabad on Wednesday in which the sit-ins of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) will be discussed, ARY News reports.

The parliament session was adjourned in view of the flood situation in the country.

Members of the lower and upper house of the Parliament from different political parties will address the session. The sit-ins of PTI and PAT will be discussed in the joint session today.

A resolution to evacuate the Red Zone area of Islamabad from the protesters is likely to be passed.

It should be noted that senators and National Assembly members insisted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to not resign from office. The role of Pakistan Army, serving as mediator in the political crisis, may be discussed as well.

The joint session of the Parliament is likely to continue till Friday.
