Jordanian King Abdullah departs after completion of two-day visit

ISLAMABAD: Jordanian King Abdullah on Friday returned to home after completion of his two-day official visit of Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi saw off the visiting dignitary at Noor Khan airbase. Before his departure, King Abdullah inspected a spectacular flypast of JF-17 Thunder air-crafts of Pakistan Air Force over the airbase.

Earlier in the day, King Abdullah met President Mamnoon Hussain in the federal capital Islamabad. The two leaders in the meeting agreed to deepen the cooperation between the two countries in trade and other fields.

The Jordanian King said concrete proposals for cooperation would come under discussion during a meeting of Pakistan-Jordan Joint Ministerial Commission slated to take place next month.

He said Pakistan’s strong position on the issues concerning the Muslim world have been a source of strength for the Muslim world.

President Mamnoon Hussain emphasized that the issues of Kashmir and Palestine should be resolved at the earliest for the sake of global peace and stability.

He lauded Jordan for adopting a courageous stand on the issue of recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel by the United States.

Later in the day, the Jordan King witnessed a spectacular display of fly-past by JF-thunder air-crafts at Noor Khan Airbase.
